Tremor is a venture-backed insurance technology firm where world class computer scientists, economists, market designers and industry practitioners are working together to build a modern risk transfer marketplace for the $1 trillion reinsurance industry. Tremor’s “smart market” platform incorporates intelligent market design, state-of-the-art auction technology and sophisticated optimization techniques to vastly improve how risk is transferred around the world.


 


Tremor is seeking an entrepreneurial product manager with a strong mathematical background to join our product team at a junior or senior level. Tremor’s product team partners with engineering to quickly meet new market needs through our agile development process. The team also works closely with Tremor’s market design experts to understand the best practices in smart market design and apply them to reinsurance -- internalizing the complexities of market design and understanding how to visualize market data is critical to building a platform that is simultaneously powerful and easy to use. The role would be a full time position based in Boston, MA or Minneapolis, MN.


 


Responsibilities


 


  • As a member of the product team, develop new platform features and bring them to life through our agile development process.

  • Work closely with Tremor’s market design experts to implement the latest in smart market technology.


 


Qualifications


 


  • B.S. Computer Science or a related field with strong mathematical background and experience in economics, data science or a related area.

  • Ideal skills: track record building tools for complex, quantitative products and/or an advanced degree in a relevant field. Responsibilities/level will depend on experience.

  • Experience in agile methodologies for software development and/or Interest in learning.
